Smooth Sailing with Starlink: Simplifying Onboard Internet Installation
Effortless Installation: To minimize onboard installation time, we advise vessels to pre-fabricate a steel pole with a 5-6cm outer diameter to fit into the antenna mount kit adaptor. Secure the pole to two rails, and you’re ready to go!
The Connectivity Challenge: Ensuring Starlink’s super-fast internet works seamlessly onboard can be tricky. We offer two solutions:
Option 1: Your IT expert can remotely configure the existing onboard PC once our physical installation is complete. They can tackle any potential issues such as firewalls or email software blocking the Starlink signal, similar to how mobile phones are configured.
Option 2: Either we or the client can supply a pre-configured clean laptop to receive the Starlink internet directly. Using Outlook or Windows Mail, your vessel’s email can be set up immediately. When the vessel returns to its home base, your IT expert can then configure all the Satcom and PCs onboard.
