DK470 – Container lost & Underwater Recovery Beacon
The low cost DK470 Pinger is quite small and weighs approximately 500 gm. With simple welds, bolts or straps, two of these compact devices can be fitted to hazardous cargo containers at diagonally opposite corners – see Fig. A.

When immersed in water, the DK470 are activated and transmit a signal in all directions. This
allows location a considerable distance from where the search procedure is being conducted.
The Dukane DSL-375 locator system can be used to search for the Pingers. The reliable
operation of the DK470 will ease the location and recovery efforts.
